Manufacturing and MRP

ERP and MRP for manufacturing companies

Production planning, shop floor data, stock and purchasing in one system, for companies of up to roughly fifty people whose process was never going to match a template.

Manufacturing and MRP is a capability of the platform, not a separate product sold alongside it.

01What it covers

From the plan to the machine and back

Shop floor and machine data

CNC machines, Omron PLCs, Universal Robots and other IoT devices, read into the same system that holds the order. Control commands can go the other way.

Production planning

Bills of material, make to order and make to stock.

Stock and purchasing

Inventory and buying in the same database as the plan.

Traceability

Every login, change and deletion logged with user, time and action.

Tested before production

A staging environment where you validate a change first.

02Planning

Bills of material, make to order and make to stock

Production planning works from the bill of material for the thing you are making. Orders can be planned to order or to stock, and both models can sit in the same company, because most manufacturers run both whether or not their software admits it.

  • Bills of material for the products you actually build
  • Make to order for the jobs a customer has already bought
  • Make to stock for the lines you keep on the shelf
  • Purchasing and stock read the same records as the plan
  1. Bill of material
  2. Production order
  3. Stock movement
  4. Purchase order
  5. Invoice

03Shop floor

The plan and the machines are in the same system

Alibera reads data from CNC machines, Omron PLCs, Universal Robots and other IoT devices, and it can send control commands back to them. The integration is specified, built and tested with you before any of it goes live.

  • Data read from CNC machines, PLCs and robot cells
  • Control commands sent back to the device
  • A REST API that requires security keys and signed tokens
  • On-premise installation where the integration has to be local

  • Omron PLCs
  • Universal Robots
  • Other IoT devices

04Traceability

Who changed what, and when

The audit trail is always on and it is not a paid extra. Every login, every change and every deletion is recorded with the user, the timestamp and a description of the action. When a customer asks what happened to a batch, the answer is in the system rather than in what someone remembers about a Tuesday.

  • Every login, change and deletion logged with user, timestamp and action
  • Permissions by role, department and location, with inheritance
  • Two factor login, on by default in the cloud and configurable on-premise
  • Backups encrypted and stored away from the live system
  • Changes validated in a staging environment before production

05Non-standard work

If your process is odd, say so early

A process that does not match the standard flow is treated here as a reason to build, not as a problem to argue you out of. Modules are configured around your process after we have analysed it, and genuinely unusual steps can be built as custom modules or adaptations.

  • Processes are analysed before anything is configured
  • Custom modules and adaptations for the steps that are genuinely yours
  • Nineteen industry categories, each described in its own words
  • One coordinator on your side keeps the project honest

Honesty

Where Alibera is the wrong choice

We would rather lose the deal on the first call than in month four. Alibera is not the right system for you if any of these is true.

  • You need one globally standardised ERP rolled out to tens of thousands of users.
  • You need an industry certification that only the largest vendors support.
  • You are a startup still working out what your process is going to be.

What is left is the case we are built for: one manufacturing company, a real process with awkward corners, and a floor full of machines nobody has connected to the ERP yet.

06Implementation

How a manufacturing project runs

  1. Discovery on the floor

We map how an order becomes a plan, where stock is counted and what your machines already record.

  2. Plan, timeline and quote

Written against what we found, including which parts we think should wait for a second phase.

  3. Configuration and migration

Modules configured, machine integration specified and built, old data exported and brought across.

  4. Staging, training and go live

You validate it in staging, your people are trained module by module, then we switch over and stay close for the first week.

A small company can be live in about a month. A larger one with a complex migration can take six months or more, and migration is nearly always the part that takes the longest.

Bring us a process that does not fit

Tell us what you make, how the orders arrive and what the machines on your floor are. You will get a straight answer about fit before anyone talks about a quote.

Manufacturing companies of up to roughly fifty people are who we build for.
